  • Time building is a path that many pilots choose to build flight time at a faster rate in order to reach the minimum 1500hrs required for commercial airlines. Building Total Time, PIC, Simulated instrument and Cross country time, it’s a great option for those who chose not to go through the path of CFI, aerial survey, banner towing, among others.

  • Yes, the Benefit of time building is that there is no rule of how much you can fly per day. Always depending on weather conditions, plane availability and pilot’s decision making.

  • Yes, since EnvySky offers shared time building, both pilots may log PIC time when the flight is conducted under simulated instrument conditions. When the sole manipulator of the aircraft (PIC) goes under the hood, the other pilot becomes a required crew member, scanning for traffic. As per, 14 CFR Part 61.51 and 14 CFR Part 91.109

  • If you live abroad and have a valid Pilot Certificate, you may contact the FAA for the process of validation of your certificate in the US.

  • Weather is a big factor when it comes to any type of flying, the PIC has the final decision to fly or not, based on the legal and personal minimums. EnvySky gives an estimate completion time, if this is not accomplished due to weather conditions, you may finish your hours when the weather conditions improve. We encourage every pilot to put safety first.

  • You may do time building in EnvySky as long as you are rated for the Type, Class and Category airplane to be flown. EnvySky has a fleet of Cessna 172.

  • Yes, as long as both pilots agree and feel comfortable bringing a friend or a family member.

  • We offer different blocks starting at 100hrs.

    • 100 hrs at $80/hr

    • 300 hrs at $75/hr

    • 500 hrs at $70/hr

    • 1000 hrs at $65/hr

    Our rates include fuel, oil, a partner who will fly with you and a 24/7 service.

  • If there’s a mechanical issue with the airplane, EnvySky is responsible for repairs and expenses.

  • We offer financial help through our partners Stratus Financial and WeFlorida Financial.

  • Every hour will be deducted based on Hobbs Time.

  • Absolutely, you may do timebuilding anywhere in the US or across the world. However, EnvySky is only located in Miami, FL

  • The greatest part of time building in EnvySky is that you get to fly anywhere you want (inside FL and the US), get to experience the best sunsets, views and even rocket launching in some areas while sharpening up your IFR, cross country, CRM, ADM and proficiency skills.

  • No, EnvySky will pair you with another pilot who’s also in the program, assuring you will always have a partner to fly with.

  • There is no limitations on which airports to go, as long as both pilots keep it safe, feel comfortable with the area, and you stay in Florida and within the US.

  • Absolutely not, we include the essentials in our blocks, including a checklist, fuel card, extra oil, ADSB-in, View-Limiting glasses (foggles), fuel drainer and dipstick. Pilots are welcome to bring any additional gadgets for their flight.

  • Your hours will not expire, it’s all based on your availability.

  • Yes, you can always fly part time and if you need a break or need some time off to your home state, you can come back anytime to finish your hours.

  • Yes, our rental agreement includes a formal refund policy.

  • No, we will not force you to fly. You are the PIC and have the final decision whether to fly or not.
